The United States Postal Service released Michael's photograph of Nine-Mile Prairie, "October in the Tallgrass," as the fourth stamp in the Scenic American Landscape Series in 2001.   This is a special edition of the photograph, double-matted and framed with the Nine-Mile Prairie international postage stamp inset within the mat, signed and numbered by Michael.
